Don’t Say “You are Wrong”
Don't or Never say "You are Wrong" to anyone because you might be killing a great idea.
Don't forget to remember that
"A theory is correct until and unless it is proven to be wrong".
When
someone explains a theory in a wrong way, Don’t say “You are Wrong”.
There
are a lot of advantages in saying like that. I will try to point some of those.
This is especially for teachers because they are the one used to say this to
their students. So, I will take the case of the students.
When
someone comes and discuss you about some theory. Let’s say some Physics concept
for example force.
If
someone explains the force as the follows where he don’t know anything about
Physics (e.g. students),
"The
force is amount of thrust that is given to an object to move from its
motionless state. Depending on the amount of thrust the object will travel to
some distance. The movement is proportional to the thrust applied on the
object."
We Physicists know the explanation is
wrong. The force is not the amount of thrust.
But
that doesn’t mean he is completely wrong because his explanation is good. Moreover this is how the great Aristotle himself
thought for the first time. This point of view was agreed for more than many
centuries.
But you can ask me “yeah.. it is
Aristotle’s explanation. But it is proven to be wrong. Then, How will I say he
is correct?
You needn’t say he is correct. But either don’t
say it wrong. Instead of saying "you are wrong" just give him the situation of a real life problem where
Aristotle’s explanation of force would go wrong.
If he is arrogant in his theory,
then it is very good. He will try his best to prove that his theory is correct.
Every time when he comes up with some better explanation to explain the
situation, you will have to give new situations.
Depending
on the capability of the student’s new explanation, you will need to give him a
tough problem than the previous.
The
profit is for both of us. In the case of teacher and the student,
When
student comes up with good explanation, the teacher needs to think hard than the previous to give
him a more difficult problem. And to solve that difficult problem, the student
will have to take more effort every time.
At the end, both will be very clear on
that topic. They will know the history, they will know the different type of
problems faced in real life, they will know the various ways of thinking about the same concept, and how scientists overcome those problems in any concept, etc.
And also at each time he will understand his mistakes. Maybe he will come up with a better solution than Newton, Hamilton,
Lagrange and others. Maybe it is possible to create a new scientist.
From
this method both will learn new way of thinking.
Various
students will have various kind of thinking skills. If you can manage all those
students, you will be the one of the finest person in the world to clearly understand
the concept.
Note:
And moreover one should try to think in other's point of view when they need to
give the correct situation and problems. Only then they will get new ideas.
To
think in other's point of view, you just need to forget who you are and what you have
learned And completely go with your student’s concept. Then you will understand him.
And "student" doesn’t mean only students
but everyone who comes to discuss with you.

The Second way of thinking to the Ultimate Answer
The
second way of thinking is very different and also a very non intuitive one.
In
simple words,
“Why should there be an answer?”
Thinking
it for the first time, I just amazed. I always used to think in a logical way.
But this question asks “what is meant by logic?”
You
can’t find answer for this because the question itself is about the question.
So,
my friend argued,
“We
are living for the Nothing.”
He
said there is no Ultimate answer. We are thinking it to be there is an Ultimate
answer.
For
example, if there is some person who found the answer for the Ultimate question
then what is after that?
You
can say, “You will never reach the answer because it is about infinite”
But
I am talking about what if someone achieved the answer.
What
is after the Ultimate?
The final thing is just “the Nothing”.
It
is weird. I just couldn’t simply accept this. It is completely against my point
of view. I am basically adapted to the scientific way of thinking.
So,
I asked “For nothingness, why the Nature created us”.
He
asked me again, “Why do you think there must be a reason behind our life?”
Yeah
it is a great question. I couldn’t answer. I remained silent. But then again I
asked him a question,
It
is what “You think to be the Nothing”, but it need not to be. It is just a one
way of thinking.
What
if there is an answer that answers the Nothingness itself. What if Nature wants
us to think that it is Nothing.
He
couldn’t answer.
It
is simply the reverse.
I
got the point‼
What
we think to be the Nothingness is also some kind of an answer from something
else. He is again trying to answer. He came to the conclusion of “Nothingness”
when he thought about “Something” else.
It
is a loop. It is a great loop. There is no starting or the end.
It
is simply attached in the closed way,
First
way is,
“We
think to be there is an answer. But it needn’t be true”.
The
second way is,
“We
think to be there is nothing. But it also needn’t be true”.
The following may confuse you, but it has some
meaning,
Something is meaningful only when there is the Nothing.
And the Nothing is meaningful only when there is Something.
One is meaningless without the other. Neither
one of them is not the starting or the ending. Both start when it starts and both
end when it ends.
But
the problem with the second way is,
It
may leave you some kind of boring life. I don’t want to go so much deep.
So,
what is my suggestion is,
Go
with the first way of thinking, because scientific developments are based on
the first way. But don’t fail to enjoy your life.
It is the only one life you had. So,
enjoy each and every moment of your life. Life is the most precious one.
And
we are living for others. Don’t forget that.
I
can reason my suggestion. But now I leave you to think about this.
If
you like, you can discuss with me.

The first way of thinking to the Ultimate answer
The
question which everyone is trying to find an answer is “what for we are living”.
I always like people with peculiar
characters. One of those characters is my friend named Prasanna. He is a very
good philosopher. I think he is the first one I have met in my life, from whom I did
learn something.
I was discussing this question with him for a long time and came to the conclusion of great confusion‼
I was discussing this question with him for a long time and came to the conclusion of great confusion‼
The
discussion is about the ultimate question and the answer – The question is“Why we are?”
If
you try to answer this question, you will never achieve. But I want to give the
various ways of thinking to the answer.
The
first way of thinking is “There is an answer”
This
is the side where I want to be. From my childhood I used to ask a lot of questions.
All the time my mind used to think in a very logistic way.
And the logic is,
“There should be a reason behind everything”.
“There should be a reason behind everything”.
This is the fundamental postulate of Science. We think there is a reason for everything and the reason is just thought to be the answer. This is the human mentality. This principle just made humans as humans. By following this principle, we have achieved a lot. Scientific developments and research and everything is based on this Principle.
I say to my friends that we are in a game. It looks as if we can’t find the answer, but there is an answer. Our life is just a puzzle.
The example I will give is the converging infinite series.
If you just look at the question to find the
answer for this series,
1+ ½ + ¼ +1/8 +….
You will not get the solution.
At my First sight, I said there is no answer, because there are infinite terms.
I reasoned my answer by asking, we don’t know how many terms are in total in this series, then how can I add all these
up? But when I found that the answer is 2, I simply amazed.
Yeah,
it is a tending value. But at the first thought I didn’t get this in my school
level.
In
our everyday life itself, we have managed to come up with so many questions like this. On
the first sight, we will say for sure that there is no possible answer. But
when we see the answer, we will get amazed.
Puzzles
are the best example where we come to this kind of situation.
So,
I concluded that our life is also a puzzle but which we don’t know the answer yet. We are just feared looking at the question. But there is an answer.
In
the simplest way, I will quote it as
“We
are...
So, the Answer.”
So, the Answer.”

The Universe with or without Sense
I did an experiment in my house where I just tried to walk in a same manner by
closing my eyes.
I couldn’t last for few minutes. But I got something of a bizarre idea.
I couldn’t last for few minutes. But I got something of a bizarre idea.
If I don’t have only eyes, I can’t see
anything but I can hear, touch, smell, and speak. For a visually challenged
person, the world will look black. But he can understand something about the
Nature and about humans, etc. We can make him feel by other four senses. But he
will never know the world of colours. He don’t know what is light or how does
object look. He will just know the shape, and whether it is heat or cold or
whether it smells good or bad and whether it can make sound or not.
But he will never know what is light.
Then I thought for a while and
started to eliminate the senses in human body one by one.
For a person of both blind and deaf,
You
can’t communicate with him. He can only feel by his skin and smell and may be
can taste some food.
But for a person who is blind, deaf,
dumb and neither can he smell nor taste, how will be the Universe?
He can just feel by touching anything.
But
if he was isolated in the mid space, then?!!
I couldn’t feel how that will be. It
is just a black. He will never know what he is or where he is or answer for any
question?
Think
for a little time.
Think how will you explain the Universe to a person without five senses?
But
don’t stop with that, now imagine what if you have more senses?
The
world of a person without eyes is different from the usual person.
Applying
the same thing in a normal person, I wonder whether we are also blind, deaf and
dumb to understand the Universe.
Do
we need some more senses to understand the real Universe?
Is
it enough the senses to feel the real world?
How many extra senses we need?
Just
think and feel it. It is really amazing on thinking about these.
It
is not philosophical but something we need to understand.
Think, what is the real Universe? if we are also just like a dumb, deaf, blind when comparing to the sufficient or really essential senses to sense the Universe.

Shadows of the Mind
In
these days I have been reading two books. The first one is, “The Shadows of the Mind” by Roger
Penrose. Second is “Classical Dynamics of Particles and Systems” by Jerry B. Marion.
First I want to share
about the Shadows of the Mind.
Though
that book is little vague and complicated for me to understand, I enjoyed it
reading. I learned some new concepts in physics and some new way of thinking.
First
of all I am very much impressed with the beginning of the book where it was
told about a little story of a daughter asking ingenious questions to his
father. No matter about the names of the people. But it reminded me about my
old time where my teacher used to tell me about our minds.
One
day I went straight to my teacher and asked some questions, which later I came
to know that they are the basic philosophical questions. But they are simple questions like,
“Where are we? What is the
end of the world? Where is the Universe? If Universe is there somewhere then
where that place is situated? What is time? What really we are doing here in
this Universe?”
These
are the questions often comes to my mind and make me to think I am in the
middle of a great mystery.
Really
we are all in the middle of the very great mysterious and magical world ‼!
After
asking these questions, my teacher said,
“Think
that, there are fishes living very deep down in Atlantic or Pacific or any
other ocean. It is very deep that is its depth is comparable to height of Mount
Everest. The fish spends its whole time in the sea below that depth.
Now,
if you and go one day and ask the fish “What is Air? What is Sun, moon and What
is Space?”
Do you think it will know
the answers?
To
that fish the ocean is the only world. In other words, it will think the whole
world is completely just filled with water. It will only know about the things
that behave in the ocean.
But it never knows about
air, sun, moon or space. It even can’t simply imagine the things outside the
ocean.”
And
he finally said that we are also just like those fishes and where else Scientists are like special kind of fishes, which tries to get out from that ocean.
It
is same as the story told in the preface of the book “Shadows of the Mind”. It is true that we can’t even imagine the world outside the Universe.
When you read these kinds
of books, and when you understood a little, stop reading and try to think
something more about us. Think about the place of humans in this Universe and Just wonder the universe.
From that book I learned some new basic outline of Quantum Mechanics. Though I
couldn’t fully understand Elitzur Vaidman bomb testing problem and Magical
Dodecahedra problem, I just had some outline of those concepts.
I
learned about Turing machine, Church’s thesis, Gödel’s theorem.
Especially I learned a little about the concept of Spin in sub atomic particles which is not the spin we really
imagine in real life.
Spin:
The
subatomic spin is somewhat different from classical spin where the axis is
fixed in one direction. Unlike classical quantum spin is directed in all
directions and “h bar” is the unit by which spin is measured.
In
quantum mechanical spin,
first we will chose a
direction in space and using Stern-Gerlach instrument we will just find the
magnitude of spin in that direction in space. “h bar” is the unit to denote the
magnitude of the spin in that direction.
I
learned new things about PULSARs and about PSR 1913-16 that is Hulse Taylor
Binary Pulsar. I learned how it was proved General Theory of Relativity by the
predictions made in Binary Star System and how it was predicted gravitational waves.
I learned what is meant by Gravitational lensing.
Though
already I know some of the things, the books gave me a lot of information.

Contradiction of Symmetry - 2
Thinking about the Symmetry Contradiction, I understood that the initial conditions are not the same since the inputs smell, sound, visuals are different and they affect the chemical process in our mind and so they will behave like different chemical process.
That is the 5 senses makes us to think different.
Though then, I thought again the same experiment in empty space, where there is no sound, smell, taste (chemical effects), touching (external effect on our skin), and light (being the empty space). Now will they think the exactly in a same way?
I think they will not, because if they think exactly in a same way, then each of the person (experiment) should walk or do the same. That is, if the first person took his left leg forwards to walk, then the it implies that the second person should also take his left leg to walk [being the same chemical reaction in both the Space due to Symmetry Principle].
But will they take the same left leg ?
I don't think it is a must for both of them to start walking by their same left leg, though they think the same in their minds. They can choose left or right leg. They can also choose to stay in the same place instead of walking. So what happens to Symmetry?
We should consider not only thinking process, but both mental and physical process. Physical process also should be the same for both of the person, if Symmetry works in Nature.
I think the reason is something due to Space. Space has something to do with the Symmetries in Nature. But somehow it is not affecting the usual chemical process we are encountering in our everyday lives. The space interacts with the symmetry in Nature. We should work further in this Contradiction to get the idea of what is happening here.
May be the solution for this Contradiction will give us the answer to the formation of life in humans. Moreover it gives more insight to soul or what is meant by spirituality in humans. It will lead to some great conclusion. We should give some importance in a mathematical way to this Contradiction to get the solution.

Contradiction of Symmetry
When I was thinking about the symmetry
in nature, I ended with a contradiction.
First of all what I meant by symmetry is the symmetry in nature. It is that if you do an experiment at your house and if you do the same experiment at your school with same initial conditions, then it will give you the same result. The experiment can be either physics or chemistry.
For example, if you throw a ball with an initial velocity with some initial conditions it will attain some final velocity. With same initial conditions if you throw the same ball with same initial velocity, from the equations of motion the ball will attain the same final velocity. No matter whether this experiment is done at India or U.S.A or China or Russia, the experiment will give same result. The rule is just the initial conditions should be kept the same.
Similar
kind of example can be given in chemistry.
A chemical process at
certain temperature, pressure and other state variables at some value will give
same result if the experiment is done with same initial conditions anywhere in
the Universe.
Simply it can be said that,
Any process with same initial conditions will give same result independent of place or time. That is any process is symmetrical about space and time.
This symmetry is the base of our entire Science knowledge. If the universe doesn’t follow this symmetry principle, our world would be a big confusion.
The symmetry principle just states that,
“The Universe that is the Nature follows
some specific rules”.
And Physics is nothing but the study of
these rules of the Universe.
But there is contradiction, when you apply this theory in Biology. As per the Science of Biology, human body can be considered as the combination of DNA, RNA and other things. Basically speaking,
Human body is simply the different combination of molecules in Nature. The whole body can be divided into molecules and atoms.
If it could be
considered that human body can be created from these tiny molecules, which is like
a building created by stones, bricks, rods, cement then the whole of the human body
could be built just with molecules.
Let us say it was found a machine to make desired molecules with atoms and that machine can build any structure of any set of molecules in Nature [like building things in Lego game - shown below]. Then it is possible to build human body as a building construction from top to bottom or centre part to side parts. And also let us say all these things are done with same initial conditions as it were build inside a woman’s womb.
Why I need to build these two because clones also may have small differences in their structure. Though DNA, RNA and other things be the same, it would not be exact same. Some small molecules may be in different positions.
But here it was assumed that the two humans build with this machine are exactly the same. That is like an exact printed copy.
I called the two humans
as two experiments. Since both humans are exactly the same, both are same
experiments with same initial conditions.
Now I put these two
experiments [two humans] at different places of the world.
[Notice that the initial conditions are exactly the same as they were the exact clones and it is fair to say the two humans as experiment because they are nothing but just the mixture of chemical compounds of tiny molecules. Both have same Genes and everything the same.]
Since their initial conditions are all same, they should think exactly the same. But it will not happen at all.
If the first one [first experiment] was put in a market full of crowds, he will start to think about that crowds and may fear about the people and will think who they are.
[These two are like newly born children. They don’t have anything stored in their mind. Their minds are purely fresh and non-polluted.]
And if the second one [second experiment] was put in a room with no people, he will start to think about that whole place and will start to fear where he is. He will be somewhat amused and feared.
This is the
contradiction I end up with.
Both are the exactly the same experiment with same initial conditions but had been put on different places in space and time. They didn’t think exactly in a same way. The outside world affected the symmetry principle.
This may happen if they two were brought up in empty space also.
Somewhat it makes me confusing.
And this is what I want to finally convey,
And this is what I want to finally convey,
Whether Symmetry really exists in nature?
Please give your opinions about this contradiction.
